Biography

Mr. Abdulrahman Hamisi Songwe serves as an assistant Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences at the Dar es salaam University College of Education (DUCE), where he teaches Chordate Zoology. He holds a Master of Science in Wildlife Management and Conservation and a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management from Sokoine University of Agriculture. 

His scholarly interest encompass zoology, wildlife ecology, range science, Human wildlife dynamics, parasitology and natural resource governance. Mr. Songwe has participated in various research initiatives addressing ecosystem health, pastoral-carnivore interaction, and wildlife-livestock interface across Tanzania. He is dedicated scientific inquiry, effective knowledge dissemination, and the advancement of sustainable conservation strategies.
