Dr. Ikupa Moses Mwandambo
Head, Diversity Unit
Welcome to the Diversity Unit at Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). The Diversity Unit is dedicated to promoting equity, equality, and inclusion across all aspects of College life. Our mandate is to ensure that issues of gender, sex, ethnicity, and disability are mainstreamed into teaching, learning, research, and institutional practices. We firmly believe that a diverse and inclusive academic environment strengthens scholarship, nurtures mutual respect, and enhances social justice.
Through research, training, advocacy, and outreach activities, the Unit works closely with students, academic staff, and the wider community to address inequalities and foster inclusive practices. We also take a leading role in combating gender-based violence and sexual harassment while empowering women and nurturing young generations to become champions of equity and equality.
We invite all members of the DUCE community and our partners to engage with the Diversity Unit as we work together to create a safe, inclusive, and equitable learning environment for all.
