Reuben Alfred is an Information Technology expert, consultant, and researcher in computer science specializing in software systems development and artificial intelligence. He is currently finalizing his PhD studies at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), where his research focuses on the application of deep learning techniques in monitoring crop diseases, contributing to advancements in precision agriculture and plant health diagnostics. He previously obtained a Master’s Degree in Information and Communication Science and Engineering (ICSE) from NM-AIST and a Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in 2011. In May 2014, Reuben joined the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) as an academician, where he continues to contribute to teaching and research in computing and emerging technologies. Before joining DUCE, he worked as a Network Administrator at Secondary Education for Girls Advancement (SEGA) in Morogoro, Tanzania, from 2013 to 2014. His professional journey reflects a strong blend of software development, network management, and artificial intelligence expertise, with a research emphasis on leveraging deep learning for sustainable agricultural innovation.
