Dr. Peter Samwel Semiono is a Lecturer in the Department of History, Political Science and Development Studies at the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE), a Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Dr. Semiono is actively engaging in teaching, research, and consultancy in his areas of specialization, which include agricultural transformation and rural development, peasantry studies, youth empowerment, development theory, and policy analysis. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with Education (BAED), a Master of Arts in Development Studies (MADS), and a Doctor of Philosophy, all from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. With over 18 years of university teaching experience, Dr. Semiono has served at various higher learning institutions in Tanzania, including the University of Dar es Salaam and Ardhi University.
