Joyce Solomon Swila is an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Humanities, Department of Languages and Literature at the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). She holds a Master of Arts in Literature from the University of Dar es Salaam and is currently pursuing a PhD in Literature. Her doctoral thesis, “Interrogating Women’s Sexuality in African Male and Female Authored Novels,” examines how women navigate and express their sexuality within patriarchal contexts. She has published “Dynamics of Power, Widowhood, and Female Sexual Agency in Ogbu’s The Moon Also Sets.”
