Biography

Dr. Noel Damson Nthangu is a dedicated and dynamic Tanzanian professional currently serving as a lecturer in the Economics & Geography Department at the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (UDSM). He demonstrates a high level of commitment to his academic responsibilities and possesses strong leadership, monitoring, and supervision capabilities. With a robust educational foundation and international experience, Dr. Nthangu specializes in economics and business-related disciplines. Since 2011, he has been engaged in teaching a range of subjects, including Economics, Mathematics, and various business modules. His research interests are extensive and focus on natural resources, fiscal policies, and social economics. Proficient in both English and Swahili, Dr. Nthangu excels in meeting demanding deadlines while achieving established targets and objectives. He has garnered substantial research and consultancy experience in Tanzania, South Africa, and beyond. Dr. Nthangu possesses a PhD in Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa and Master of Arts (Economics) degree from the University of Dar es Salaam, with a specialization in public sector finance and econometrics.

In addition, he has authored several blind peer-reviewed publications, with additional manuscripts currently under review and others accepted for publication.
