Emmanuel J. Kihongo is a lecturer teaching History at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the Dar es Salaam University college of Education (DUCE). He holds his PhD in History from the University of Dar es Salaam. He graduated in 2024 at the graduation held in November in the same year. His PhD thesis is entitled "A History of Greek Tobacco Farming in Iringa District, Southern Highlands (Tanzania) 1940- 2010s. He obtained other degrees, namely, M.A (History) in 2011 and the Bachelor of Arts with Education in 2006 both from the University of Dar es Salaam. He was employed at DUCE in 2006, and since then he has been teaching, researching and conducting consultancy services in his area of specialization to date.
