Dr. Samwel S. Lwiza is a Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Economics at the Dar es Salaam University College of Education, University of Dar es Salaam. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Chandigarh University, India, an M.A. in Economics, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and value-for-money evaluation. Dr. Lwiza has a strong research background with several publications in areas such as economics of education, energy economics, poverty, and household welfare. He has also participated in various consultancy projects covering economic development, energy transitions, impact evaluations, and environmental management.
