Ms. Salma Seleman Mohamed is an Assistant lecturer in the Department of Languages and literature. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. She holds a Master of Arts in Kiswahili Literature as well as a Bachelor of Arts with Education from the University of Dar es Salaam. She teaches, among others, Postcolonial Kiswahili Literature, Gender Issues in Kiswahili Literature, and Kiswahili Oral Literature. Her scholarly interests are primarily on African Philosophy, African Indigenious Knowledge, and Black Aesthetics in Postcolonial Literature, Children’s Literature, Gender, as well as the intersection of Literature and Sustainable Development.
