Dr. Neema Gideon Mogha is an employ of Dar Es Salaamu University College of Education for 17 years since January ,2007.
She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Science in the field of Synecology classification of wetland vegetation (Bonn University, Bonn, Germany) and a Master of Dryland Biodiversity (University of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia). She works with Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) as a Lecturer and Researcher in Biological Sciences Department. Her research interest is in Ecology, Biodiversity of both wetlands and dryland, Natural Resouce Management, Botany, and Ethnobotany. She has been involved in various activities of Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) and Natural Resources Management (NRM), food security, water use conflict and sanitation from 2011 to 2021 in Germany, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Sudan. Dr. Mogha have worked in collaboration with University of Bonn, National Museum of Kenya in two projects , Characterisation of small wetlands in East Africa and Production potential of small wetland in East Africa from 2007-2014. She runs one project on the use of plants in the treatment of COVID-19. The project is Ethnobotanical, Phytochemical, and Toxicity Study of Medicinal Plants used for COVID-19 Management in the Kagera Region, Tanzania 2021-2023. She has been involving in education consultation both mainland and Zanzibar since 2014 to present. She has Publications in International Journal and locals and a shared book on Guide of wetlands plants.
