Dr. Mariam Mgendi is a Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences within the Faculty of Science. She holds a Ph.D in Botany and specializes in Environmental science and Bioremediation. She completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Dar es Salaam. Her teaching areas for undergraduate courses include Evolutionary Botany and Anatomy of Angiosperms and for postgraduate courses are Advanced Physiology, Biodiversity and Environmental Assessment. Her research interests focuses on Bioremediation of pollute lands and wetlands, Biodiversity conservation and Environmental Science.
