The Director, Public Services and Outreach Programmes

The Directorate of Public Service and Outreach Programs (DPSOP) at Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) is a central coordinating unit responsible for strengthening the University College’s engagement with society and industry. The Directorate oversees and coordinates consultancy services, outreach and community engagement programmes, and continuing education initiatives, ensuring that DUCE’s academic expertise is effectively applied to address societal and developmental needs.

In addition, the Directorate plays a key role in promoting and managing industry-academia linkages, fostering partnerships that enhance knowledge exchange, innovation, and skills development. Its operations are guided by the University of Dar es Salaam Vision 2061and the DUCE Five-Year Strategic Plans, aligning all activities with long-term institutional and national development priorities.

Through its functions, the Directorate supports DUCE’s mission to advance economic and social development through innovative teaching and learning, research, and knowledge exchange, thereby reinforcing DUCE’s contribution to national and global development agendas.
