Dr. Kerindo Abeid Sumara is a lecturer in the Department of History, Political Science and Development Studies within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He holds a PhD in History and specializes in Urban Ethnohistories. He completed his undergraduate and master’ degrees at the University of Dar es Salaam and doctoral studies at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava. His teaching areas include African regional histories, environmental and economic histories. His research interests and scholarly work focus on urban ethnohistories, transnational histories, diasporas and identities.
