Dr. Kuria Mdoe Michael is a lecturer in the Department of Languages and Literature within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He holds a PhD in Linguistics and specializes in Nilo-Saharan Languages Linguistics and Cognitive Linguistic studies. He completed both his undergraduate Degree at the University of Dodoma and postgraduate studies at the University of Dar es Salaam. His teaching areas include Linguistic Phonology, Morphology and semantics. His research interests and scholarly work focus on Nilo-sahara Linguistics, Language contact, Ethnobotany and Ethnolinguistic.
