Dr. Amani Jackson Chipalo is a Lecturer in the Department of Languages and Literature within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). He holds a PhD in Kiswahili specialising in phonology from the University of Dar es Salaam.He teaches various courses such as Introduction to linguistics, Dialects of English, Syntax, Morphology, Social and Biological Aspects of language, Historical and Comparative Linguistics, and Translation. His research interest includes Morphology, Morphophonology, Bantu Linguistics, Contact Linguistics as well as Anthropological Linguistics
