Dr. Thadei Damas Sagamiko is a senior lecturer in the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics within the Faculty of Sciences. He holds a PhD in Mathematics and specializes in Applied Mathematics. He completed his PhD. (Mathematics) studies at the University of Dar es Salaam, while Master's degree (Mathematical Modelling) and undergraduate studies at The Open University of Tanzania (BSc. Mathematics & Economics). He went for a postdoctoral fellowship at Linköping University in Sweden. His teaching areas include applied mathematics and statistics. His research interests and scholarly work focus on mathematical modelling especially mathematical ecology and epidemiology, applied statistics and network structure. Dr. Sagamiko has been actively engaged in development projects and development works. Some of the projects implemented include the development of textbooks, teacher guides, and supplementary materials for the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Zanzibar, development of secondary school mathematics textbooks for Tanzania Institute of Education. Administratively, he is currently the college head of quality assurance in Teaching and Learning section.
