Dr. Anna Absalom Mwakitalu is a dedicated educational specialist and researcher with over 15 years of experience in higher education, gender studies, and educational policy in Tanzania and internationally. She holds a Ph.D. in Education from Trinity College Dublin, a Master’s degree in Educational Management and Administration, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Dar es Salaam. Her scholarly work primarily focuses on gender equity in leadership, leadership and management, higher education, educational transformation, and quality assurance and control. Dr. Mwakitalu has been instrumental in supporting multi-national projects addressing teacher retention, gender-responsive pedagogy, and leadership representation in Tanzanian higher learning institutions. As a lecturer at DUCE, she continues to mentor students and collaborate on research that bridges academia and community development.
