Dr. Katherine Fulgence is a researcher and academician with over 15 years’ experience in entrepreneurship education, skills development, and teacher professional development. She has led extensive research, training, and consultancy work on scaling education innovations, digital fluency, and career transitions. As a multidisciplinary scholar, she has authored numerous academic outputs, including journal articles, book chapters, and policy briefs. Dr. Fulgence has received competitive awards and fellowships from DAAD, IDRC, IREX, and Michigan State University, and has secured over USD 2.4 million in research funding for strengthening teacher professional development and mentorship. She previously managed projects at the University of Dar es Salaam Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre and is currently a Senior Lecturer at Dar es Salaam University College of Education, University of Dar es Salaam. She has also strengthened the grant-writing capacity of PhD holders in multidisciplinary research, contributing to the College’s growing reputation for academic excellence. Her dedication earned her the title of DUCE’s Best Worker for the 2021/2022 academic year, and in 2025 she was recognised as a trailblazer at the University of Dar es Salaam.
