Manchester City moved into second in the Women’s Super League while Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton after a 2-0 win against Reading.
As they kept their 100 per cent start to the year, pauline Bremer scored two for City at Adams Park.
The Germany added a second goal just prior to the hour after her initial attempt was blocked by goalkeeper Grace Moloney and put City ahead in the 30th minute with a strike.
Bremer came close to making it a hat-trick at the 73rd minute after her header struck a post.
City are just one of two groups to have so far registered two wins from two games, the other Everton after their 2-0 home victory over Bristol City.
Chloe Kelly netted a brace two magnificent right-footed efforts coming in quick succession after the interval, in the match, and she was denied a treble.
Chelsea are third with four points after drawing 1-1 in Brighton thanks to the late equaliser of Adelina Engman.
Engman fired from close range in stoppage time to cancel out Aileen Whelan’s 84th-minute effort for those hosts.
Elsewhere, Tottenham acquired their first WSL target and points since Rachel Furness’ punishment secured a 1-0 home win against Liverpool, who had Niamh Fahey.
And Birmingham 1-0 was conquered by West Ham in the 27th minute at home courtesy of an Adriana Leon attack.
Reigning Women’s Super League champions Arsenal will take on Manchester United on Monday evening.
