Its been a wild ride so far as I continue to remain above water in this competition of 282 entries. After six weeks, Im tied for eighth position, a half-point out of seventh, 1 match from fourth and two points from first, that pays 40 percent of the bud.
Ive experienced some ups and downs, and certainly some breaks that are really lucky.
In Week 1, I went 6-1 however my loser was Nebraska -4 in Colorado. The Cornhuskers were up 17-0 at the half gave up 24 from the fourth quarter and still had a chance in OT but head coach Scott Frosts drama calls were dreadful and the Buffs pulled a 34-31 OT win. This craziness prevented me from beginning the contest 7-0.
In Week 2, I went 3-1 with faculty dogs which included shooting West Virginia +6.5 at house vs NC State and the Eagles of Eastern Michigan +7 against Big Ten college Illinois. Did cover but they won straight up. When youre pulling games out straight up like 17, you do gain a bit of confidence.
In Week 3, this is a 2-5 total beatdown, my sole losing week. That I had many tough losses this week and they did exactly that, although I did predict Appalachian State to triumph with a field goal vs UNC. I touted Michigan over Wisconsin per week and that match was a failure from the start. Despite outgaining the Colts in every stat except the one who counts and that is the scoreboard and they shed three then Id the Falcons +2 against the Colts.
At home versus the Patriots and a great deal, I had been really optimistic with the Bills +7 in Week 4 and I was fortunate to insure that match by a point.
That included Oregon State as a 6-point puppy that won straight up along with Stanford as a 16-point dog that won up and in college , I went 4-0-1 in Week 5 and the two teams won by double digits. WOW… I really have to pat myself on the back for those two Pac-12 beauties. I also pulled a tie +11 together with West Virginia as I got a touchdown with 10 minutes left fourth-and-10 in the Texas 12-yard line.
In Week 6 , I have now learned the hard way to not wager against the Wisconsin Badgers and lost in a blowout. Im 0-2 betting against these and both games were done by halftime. Wisconsin might be the best team in the country and sleeping on them is just plain absurd if you do. Aside from this, I moved 6-1 ATS for the third time in six weeks. I moved in the contest taking the Houston Texans as a road underdog to 2-0. I won with them +5 versus the Chiefs and in Week 1 when they were +7 from the Big Easy against the Saints.
So in all, Im still inside at 28-13-1 and may just hope I make intelligent selections and whether I use the drive, toss a coin or toss darts to create themit does not matter as long as I are still on the ideal side more often than not.
