On 1st December 2018, Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) celebrated the 11th Graduation at the College. The graduation ceremony was attended by the Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam, former Tanzania President Jakaya Kikwete, the Vice chancellor, Prof. William A. L. Anangisye and the Chairman of the University of Dar es Salaam Council, Justice Damian Lubuva.

According to the college principal, Prof. Bernadeta Killian, a total of 1,769 students graduated this year (males 1,255, females 514), being an increase of 293 graduands from those who graduated last year (2017). She also said that the number of students who graduated in Bachelor of Science with Education (BSc.Ed) doubled from 231 last year to 472 this year.

‘A notable feature of this year’s graduation is the doubling of the number of graduands in science unlike many years in the past,’ she said adding that the increase in science graduands was a success which could not be overemphasized.
