Two-time Grand National winner Tiger Roll will compete for a historic third victory in April.
Trainer Gordon Elliott claims before returning to Aintree, that the nine-year-old will contest two races at the New Year.
Jockey Davy Russell will, partners again by winning back-to-back Nationals tiger Roll, that emulated Red Rum.
Even though the intention isn’t to race often during the season he is also being trying to get a bid to win a Cheltenham Festival.
“We’re going to need to head him now and pick and choose where people go,” Elliott said in a meeting using Aintree Racecourse.
“He will likely have one run over hurdles, possibly something similar to the Boyne Hurdle [at Navan in February] again.
“He will return to Cheltenham [in March] for the Cross Country race then we’ll go for your Randox Health Grand National.”
