The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Hon. Heiko Maas has paid a brief visit to DUCE Demonstration Secondary School today.

Present on the Minister’s arrival were the Ag. Vice Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Prof. Bonaventure Rutinwa and Ag. Principal of Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE), Prof. Godliving Y. S. Mtui, and the Headmistress of Chang’ombe Demonstration Secondary School Ms. Daina Matemu.

The Minister was impressed by the students who are studying Germany at the school. He spent most of his time talking face-to-face with scores of students who are studying German language at the school under the Goethe-Institut Tansania.

The Minister was impressed to see students speaking Germany fluently.

 

Former students who studied Germany at Chang’ombe Secondary School in the previous years also had time to converse with the Minister.

 

The Minister brought gifts for every student in the Germany class. The gifts included handbags, exercise books, counter books, notebooks, crayons, wall-maps, and sports gears.

 

Form Three student, Imani Chilingola, presented the Minister with some of his art works including the minister’s portrait.
